History repeats itself. And that’s all I have to say about that.

That and sometimes there just aren’t enough rocks.

Am I just a speck on your microscope, waiting to be dissected? I feel so small, so insignificant…why should anything I do matter? There are bigger specks out there, waiting for you to find them. Then again, I guess they already have. You’ve got them pulled apart, a light illuminating their thin bodies. So insecure these big specks make me feel, yet you say you need me. Little specks don’t make contributions. They don’t carry a cure, they don’t hold any answers. They float around, going about their lives. Never bothering anyone, no one bothering them.

You dig your toes into the sand. You climb the highest tree. You skip a rock across the lake. You hike a mountain.

But you also litter that sand, cut down those trees, crush those rocks, blast through that mountain.

Why would you destroy the very things you came from, the very same things you will one day return to? It’s time to embrace the Earth for what she is, before it’s too late. She will provide for you in every way, if you just take the time to care for her. Embrace her for what she is so that she may forever thrive.

Up and Down, all around.

I want to be eight miles high, and when I crash down I’ll find it strange to be so low.

“Always alone,
never with a herd
Prettiest mare I’ve ever seen,
you’ll have to take my word
I’m going to catch that horse if I can
and when I do I’ll give her my brand
Well I was up on Stony Ridge
after this chestnut mare, been chasing her for weeks
Oh I’d catch a glimpse of her every once in a while
taking her meal, bathing, fine lady
This one day I happen to be real close to her
and I saw her standing over there
so I snuck up on her nice and easy
got my rope out
I’m going to catch that horse if I can
and when I do I’ll give her my brand
And we’ll be friends for life
She’ll be just like a wife
I’m going to catch that horse if I can” ~Roger McGuinn

And finally one afternoon, when the sun was high and the snow falling lightly he slipped that rope around her neck. She didn’t fight it or try to resist. She walked right up to him and gave him a nudge. Now he doesn’t need those ropes. She’ll stay just fine, that mare. Stay until the end of time.

No words can describe how utterly livid I am.

And the day was off to such a good start too.

Raindrops.

“Hold my hand lets chase the sun
We both know something’s begun
Nothing feels that real without you
Wanna learn so much about you

Shining star I’ve seen your face
Everything falls into place
Nothing else seems to matter
You bring me to life

Feels so lonely
Won’t you show me
Where I need to be
You bring me to life

Feels like the raindrops on my skin
You reach me somewhere deep within
You make my body come alive
You bring me to life

I whisper things you never knew
I can’t believe that tonight I’m here with you
You make my body come alive
You bring me to life

See it burning in my eyes
Don’t want words, Don’t want no lies
They say more than what is spoken
Promises always get broken

Feels so lonely
Won’t you show me
Where I need to be
You bring me to life

Feels like the raindrops on my skin
You reach me somewhere deep within
You make my body come alive
You bring me to life

I whisper things you never knew
I can’t believe that tonight I’m here with you
You make my body come alive
You bring me to life”
