I Just Want My Phone Call.
Wow, I cannot believe that I haven’t updated in almost a month. Then again, there really hasn’t been a lot to update on. Work has been basically consuming me but I’m enjoying it.
I saw the Dark Knight. Amazing? Oh fuck yes. I’ve seen it twice so far and I’m looking for an excuse to go see it again. I bought a few of the comics and might I say, Christian Bale and Heath Ledger do an excelent job as Bats and Joker. Very true to the comics, which I love. I really hope Christopher Nolan signs on to do another Batman with Bale. Maybe a new Bats and Robin? Or my favorite female villain Ivy. I also bought Batman Begins, finally and I really love Cillian’s performance as the Scarecrow. Very villainous indeed. Oh and thank god they replace Katie Holmes with Maggie Gyllenahall. SO much better.
Aside from me geeking out totally, I’ve bought some tickets to several good shows. In September I’m going to Farm Aid, which I am beyond excited for and in October I’m seeing Tegan and Sara (who coincidentally first toured with Neil Young).
Well, that’s been my July thus far. Tomorrow I go to orientation and Friday is Bryan’s wedding. This’ll be interesting.
Exhaustion Is Not Fun.
I am officially exhausted today. Worked maintenance with Jim and Sharon. We busted our asses to clean out two track switches. It was a good time, though. Lots of laughs and venting to one another. Marie gave me Andy’s address today. I’m happy that I can finally write to him. On a totally unrelated note, Sharon and Erica (Seth’s girlfriend and cause of not being single) are trying to find guys at the park for me. Not been very successful considering there aren’t many attractive guys working there. There may be a potential who works the Music Series. Who knows?! I sure don’t.
