Why…Life? February 24, 2009

Filed under: Diary — abudge @ 6:49 pm

I really do not understand why life keeps fucking me over, to be frank.

I’m in a bad place now mentally.

I’m in a bad place physically.

It is time for bond breaking again, and I’m not looking forward to it. I need to start gaining back independence that I lost over the course of the past six months.

I need a vacation, from my life. I need a vacation from my existence.

Truly. Seriously.

I need to go away.

Extreme (Coffee). February 22, 2009

Filed under: Diary — abudge @ 1:33 pm

I’ve been having THE worst coffee jitters these past two days Last semester I drank 5 cups a day and was fine. But over break I stopped drinking it since I really didn’t need to be up early, or be alert. So now that I started drinking it again (and even now it’s not a daily thing), two-three cups puts me over the edge. And if I have expresso like I did this morning, whoa. Watch out. I need to start a caffeine drip again so I don’t tweak out every time I have a cup.

I am really excited about declaring Geoscience as a minor. And just by being an American Studies major, I’m already guaranteed an English minor. And my dad said a person can double minor so…I’m pumped!

Minor in Geoscience? Sounds AMAZING.

Oh yea, who wants hockey tickets for March 6th??

Slightly Outrageous. February 20, 2009

Filed under: Diary — abudge @ 10:37 am

It is slightly insane of me that I am sitting here in the office, looking at my course of study and planning out what I need/want to take for the Fall semester. It’s pathetic, I will admit. But I also want to graduate as soon as possible, so I can get a head start on my life as a REAL adult.

I am legit looking for downtown apartments now. My parents and I have rearranged a number of my funds so hopefully by the end of the summer I will have a decent sum in my savings to afford high monthly payments (I’m looking to fork over 800 a month because I want a really nice place…just because I’m a starving artist doesn’t mean I have to live like one).

I’ve decided that I am going to do my Research methods (yay ridiculously long paper) in Spring ‘10, in history. I preferably would like to do a topic about the women in Lowell (mill girls, obviously) because that would be convenient. If not, I was thinking doing something with the history of counter-culture in the 50’s and 60’s. Who knows though…I need to talk to my advisor. The majority of my classes are gender-centric. Yes I am going to be one of those Fem-Nazis.

I should be writing one (of three) of my articles right now but I was late this morning, so I had no time to pack my laptop. I figure I’ll just spend my Saturday doing work then maybe going out at night with Tim.

It is so fucking cold again. I was so pissed when I saw snow on the ground…and my first class wasn’t even canceled. F my L.

I should at the very least go read my assignment for Values. Ugh.

Oh, I added another blog to my blogroll. It is filled with all sorts of cute animal pictures.

Oh! Almost forgot…I’ve decided to kick start my photography/model career. Once I get my D90 this June (first paycheck baby) I’m going on a short backpacking trip and submitting my photos to Backpacker magazine. Maybe Outside too? Who knows but I am excited.

I really wish my interests and major went better together. Sometimes I feel all over the place. Especially when people say to me, “If you want to work for the National Park then why don’t you get a forestry degree?” or “why aren’t you an art major?”. Why do you care, exactly? I intend to stay working for Lowell, or Boston, or other “city parks”. Outdoor-ness and art-ness are my hobbies. And I’m afraid that if I make my hobbies my life, I would cease to enjoy them as much as I do.

I now leave you with this: cutest fox kit ever!

It’s cold in my room. I think my toes are turning purple.

SO overwhelmed with life right now.

I need a new routine.

NEXT TATTOO (in March): goddess in yoga pose…it’s really simple.

My Bloody Valentine. February 15, 2009

Filed under: Diary — abudge @ 8:16 pm

Thankfully my Valentine’s Day didn’t turn out like the movie. I cooked (surprise!) and then we went to see Godspell in Nashua. It really was the best hallmark holiday that I have ever had. I know I had some pictures (so-called photography) posted on this entry originally but they were awful. Had to take those catastrophes down.

Friday with Sarah was fun too. We smoked. Watched Zack and Miri. Got snacks. Smoked again. Attempted a twitter. And failed. It really was an epic time and something that needs to happen on a regular basis. Not that I want to become a total pothead again but a smoke every weekend would be nice. I totally just puddle out when I’m stoned, and I love it. Nothing could relax me more than a smoke, a good movie, and hanging with a biffle.

I Took A Train. February 12, 2009

Yes, another Tegan and Sara reference. I need new T&S! Now! I think Sarah and I are going to go to Canada in the summer to see them if they decide to tour.

Hanging out with Nick soon, and James! WAS supposed to go to the BC/UML hockey game with him but it falls on Valentine’s Day and he’ll be in Virginia with Rachael. But when he’s home I think we are just going to hang at his place and play video games. Hahaha. Love my friends.

School is stressing me out to the max. Lame.

Work drama is starting. F my L.

Oh, and according to my mom if I bleached my hair again I would have “Debbie Harry Hair”. And thus would live up to one of my many nicknames: Blondie.
