I really have nothing to comment on today. Slightly in a bad mood, slightly tired, and a huge paper to write tonight. Really need a Dunkin’s run or else I will not make it to even 9pm.
Busy Week? March 30, 2009
Looks like. Stress start now! @__@
Oh, and why did I wear flip flops on a 45 degree and rainy day? Well at least my feet dry fast and I won’t ruin my chucks.
Owl tattoo is scabbing up. Healing start now!
HUGE Recap. March 27, 2009
The essentially last day of my Spring Break, Friday consisted of me celebrating Nick’s birthday with muchos friends and of course a freezing trip to Hampton Beach (which by the way, should appear in The Connector soon). I have some fairly good pics that I need to post but I’ll put those in a larger photo post later. Met at the beach around 1-ish (I didn’t even get lost!). Proceeded to watch several of Nick’s friends freeze to death in the water. Thought I was going to be thrown in, which was pretty damn terrifying. Tim and I explored a jetty after snagging some pizza at a local joint. We all then packed it up and headed to Burlington, MA to do some shopping. I, of course, bought two t-shirts. I really can’t go a whole day without spending some sort of money. Which sucks because I now have a $200 credit card bill heading my way. At least I’ve finally gotten paid.
Going back to school after break was hectic. Newspaper drama and midterms up the wazoo.
Yesterday I celebrated my 20th birthday. I’m old. Not really but I feel it. Got some amazing gifts from Tim. Turtle pins and a handmade necklace. Totally wearing the turtles tonight (if I can manage to find some nice clothes to wear). Also, gave myself a nice $100 present. New tattoo! An owl…he’s cute but once he’s healed up I’m going to add some lines above and below him so the rest of my arm isn’t naked. Hopefully I’ll get an armband on my right arm in April but I’m thinking I need to wait until my first summer paycheck (it’s going to be expensive). Haven’t showed my parents the new ink. Don’t think they will be thrilled. But oh well.
Dinner tonight with Tim at Villa Blanca. Work Saturday. Fancy lunch with Mom, Dad, and Tim at Mile Away on Sunday.
What a great birthday week.
Break? Ha! March 19, 2009
Spring Break? Should be called Spring I Have A Million Places To Go And People To See.
So fucking exhausted, but I have an epic urge to paint. I leave you with this cute pic:

Spring Break! March 18, 2009
Monday doesn’t count too much towards spring break, it was more of a shopping day. Also managed to clean out my checking account again. Thank god I’m getting paid Monday or else I will not be able to pay my credit card bill.
Yesterday I went to Burlington, VT with Johnny Martin. What an amazing trip! Granted, we started out an hour late because he didn’t feel good early in the morning and we had to get the D40 and clear off all of Nick Hutchinson’s pictures. So, three hours and two rest stops later we landed in the Burlington/UVM area. So beautiful up there. It is such a college town and I love it. So many shops that I love, indie music stores, hemp shops, and cute cafes. After wandering around for a bit we decided to grab some Mexican food. He literally almost cried from a spicy burrito. On the other hand, I calmly enjoyed a fresh spinach and red pepper with cheddar cheese quesadilla. We went to the Lake Champlain waterfront. A bit hazy but you could still see the New York Adirondacks. Gorgeous! Finally around 5 we decided to head down to Ben and Jerry’s in Waterbury, VT. Missed the tours since it is literally a half hour between exits but we snagged some merchandise and food. I got this delicious Raspberry Creme smoothie. And I stole a bit of his ice cream sundae. Another two rest stops and a gas station later we got back to Lowell, downloaded our pics and went our separate ways. On a related note, I now want to transfer to UVM. But Tim is right, I do love Lowell (and him) too much to leave. Definitely checking it out for graduate school though.
Today, I’m stuck doing a midterm. Hopefully I’ll get it done.
Thursday I have a dentist appointment. Lame! Then I think Tim and I are heading up the northern New Hampshire.
Friday I’m driving Tim and I to Fitchburg for Nick’s birthday. Then to Hampton?
Spring Break really is turning out to be rather amazing.
Music note: Fell in love with Death Cab and Bon Iver.
Here’s Your Karma, Ripe As Peaches. March 15, 2009
Celebrated Jack’s birthday last night with some good music and readings.
Looking forward to a good, fun-filled spring break.
Bring on the warm weather s’il vous plait!
You Look Like You’ve Seen A Ghost. March 9, 2009
Don’t know why (per usual) but I’ve suddenly become depressed.
I’m not like these other girls I know. And at the same time, I am.
I try so hard to be individual and yet I come off as just another copy.
It is impossible to be unique.
Furthermore, it is impossible for me to be beautiful. To be adorable. To be admired and appreciated. I’m cute. And it gets me nowhere.
For all the aspirations I have, I know I will never achieve them. I will never reach my goals because there will always be someone one step ahead of me.
Snow? Really? March 9, 2009
Fuck snow.
And UMass Lowell…you suck. Conditions are so bad! Why do I have to go in???
At least let the school open at 12.
Fuck my life.
Wind Through The Trees. March 8, 2009
So, today is a nice day. A beautiful day in fact. A wonderful day to take photography, write a few poems down by the lake. Perhaps bike out somewhere. Oh wait, my bike is still broken. You know what I haven’t done since winter break? Paint. I still haven’t finished a flower painting. And I still need to revise that silhouette painting. Plus I have some ideas for a color explosion with the word Life in the center.
But I can’t do anything. Nothing. You know why? Stuck at layout. Want to go explore, create, observe.
Sucks.
However, trolley was great. Warm day. With my favorite woman ever. Little sore since I’m out of shape. Managed to set the trolley on fire (just about anyways). Light bulbs are just not friends to us. Bert came by but at least he didn’t smell tooooo bad. Forgot my lunch so Sharon and I split a veggie sandwich from Subway. Yes, even when I order at semi-unhealthy places I order healthy. No Jake which was the best. Willie stopped by and almost crashed into us on Moose Curve. Very excited to be starting full time in a few months. I’m just done with school this semester and everything about it. People, newspaper, class, teachers. EVERYTHING.
Suddenly I have the desire to skip out on the rest of the semester. I’m already screwed in Sociology. Probably in American Values too. I just can’t get it together. I can’t get life together half the time.
On that note, I need to stop smoking so often. I’m getting winded really easy when I run. Kind of unhealthy.
Then again, after a day of class and newspaper shit…nothing is better than sparking up around 3pm and letting the rest of they day float by.
